Noibat doesn't have much going for it on its own — the stats just aren't there. The payoff is Noivern, and getting there is worth the grind. Known as the Sound Wave Pokemon. Been around since Gen 6.

Noibat's stats barely vary. 0 sit in respectable range with no real gaps. It's a blank slate for EV investment. Worth 1 Speed EV, medium-fast 1M XP curve to max.

No wild encounters for Noibat in Legends: Z-A. It's available in X, Ultra Sun, or Sword and can be transferred over. The details below show where to find it.

Noibat is not available as a wild encounter in this game.

Also found in:

  • Noibat isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Noivern to unlock its full potential. At 245 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.

  • Noibat's biggest threats include Kyurem (Ice), Terrakion (Rock), and Dragonite (Dragon), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Kyurem is the most dangerous since Ice moves deal 4x damage. Fairy-type attackers are also a problem.

  • Noibat evolves into Noivern at level 48. Noibat is the base form of this evolutionary line.

  • Frisk is the go-to ability for Noibat. It reveals an opponent's held item upon entering battle. Its hidden ability Telepathy can work in specific setups. Infiltrator is the other option — pick based on what your team needs.

  • Noibat fills the support role. It's leaning toward the special side (base 45 Sp. Atk). At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's fragile — can't afford to take many hits.

  • Noibat appears in 7 games, including X & Y, Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.

Introduced in X & Y, Noibat has appeared in 7 games across 4 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
