Ground moves don't affect Noivern at all — that's the advantage of Flying/Dragon typing. It comfortably outruns most offensive threats. Can go either physical or special depending on the set. Introduced in Gen 6.
Speed and Sp. Atk carry most of Noivern's stat budget. Attack's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 2 Speed EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Although it has a violent disposition, if you give it a nice ripe fruit that it loves, Noivern will suddenly become tame.
This hot-blooded Pokémon attacks anything it sees with ultrasonic waves that can crush boulders.
Noivern Weakness
GoodNoivern's Flying/Dragon typing leaves it vulnerable to Ice, Rock, Dragon, and Fairy moves. Ice hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Ground-type attacks completely. 5 resistances help offset the weaknesses.
Evolved from Noibat. Noivern is the final form in this two-stage line. No compatible partners for breeding via two egg groups. Eggs are average hatch time. Speed grew the most through evolution (+68 over Noibat), and Noivern peaks at 535 total stats.
How to Evolve
Breed with Noivern to get Noibat eggs easily from the Dragon and Flying egg groups. Notable egg moves include Outrage, Snatch, Switcheroo and 1 more.
One guaranteed turn is all Noivern needs. Focus Sash buys it, max Sp. Atk and Speed EVs make it count, and Telepathy adds something extra. The goal: deal early damage and deal damage with Tailwind. Utility options gives it play beyond just the lead turn.

STAB runs through Sky Attack and Draco Meteor for the basics, but Noivern's real strength is the 11-type coverage spread. Grass and Normal hit common defensive types, and the movepool keeps going.
