Everything about Zeraora's stat line is built to win. 143 base Speed leads the way, and even its worst stat (75 Defense) isn't a real liability. Only weak to Ground. Known as the Thunderclap Pokemon. One of the newer additions from Gen 7.
Zeraora's built around mixed offense. Speed leads the charge, Defense pays for it. Near-impossible to catch, worth 3 Speed EVs. Follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.
It runs as fast as lightning strikes, shredding its opponents with its high-voltage claws.
Electricity sparks from the pads on its limbs. Wherever Zeraora runs, lightning flashes and thunder echoes.
Zeraora Weakness
GoodZeraora's Electric typing leaves it vulnerable to Ground moves. Its Electric typing keeps the defensive matchups simple. Volt Absorb grants an additional Electric immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. With 88 HP and balanced defenses, Zeraora can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.
A Electric-type mythical at 600 base stats, Zeraora can't breed or evolve. Event distribution is the standard way to obtain one.
How to Evolve
Voltabsorb isn't flashy, but it matters. Combined with Air Balloon for temporary Ground immunity and max Attack and Speed EVs, Zeraora fills the physical attacker slot reliably. Jolly nature finishes the spread.

Without TMs, Zeraora's movepool is bare bones. With them, you get coverage across 9 types on top of Thunder and Plasma Fists for STAB. The natural kit handles basics, but TMs are doing the real work.

Zeraora is not available as a wild encounter in this game.
This is an event-exclusive or special distribution.
At 600 BST, Zeraora is built different. We rank it A-Tier. As a Mythical Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a sweeper.
Watch for Garchomp (Ground) when using Zeraora. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Zeraora doesn't evolve. As a Mythical Pokemon, it stands on its own without an evolutionary line. It's a Electric type with 600 BST.
Run Volt Absorb on Zeraora. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. With base 143 Speed, Volt Absorb gives Zeraora an edge before opponents can react.
Zeraora fills the sweeper role. It's a mixed attacker — base 112 Attack and 102 Sp. Atk. Base 143 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
Zeraora can be found in Legends: Z-A, Sword & Shield, and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.
As a Mythical Pokemon, Zeraora has limited availability — 3 games since its debut in Sun & Moon. Typically obtained through special events or in-game quests rather than standard encounters.
