Jumpluff Weakness
Ice, Fire, Poison, Flying, and Rock moves hit Jumpluff for super-effective damage. Ice hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. The upside? Ground-type moves can't touch it at all. Jumpluff's special bulk (base 95 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Ice |
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Poison, Flying, Rock |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Water, Fighting |
| 0.25x (Resist) | Grass |
| 0x (Immune) | Ground |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)

How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Jumpluff to get Hoppip eggs easily using 38 partners from the Fairy and Plant egg groups. Notable egg moves include Amnesia, Aromatherapy, Confusion and 7 more.
B2W2 Jumpluff Best Moveset
110 Speed with AbilityChlorophyll in sun doubles to 220, outrunning everything. MoveSleep Powder puts one target to sleep, and the moveset provides speed-based utility. 55/55 offenses can't threaten anything directly, so the entire identity is disruption rather than damage.

Without breeding, Jumpluff misses out on Amnesia and Aromatherapy. That's 10 egg moves adding depth that the base kit lacks. STAB comes from Solar Beam and Energy Ball, with Normal and Bug coverage rounding things out.

Jumpluff Black 2 & White 2 Guide
In Black 2 & White 2, Don't let Jumpluff's 460 base stat total fool you. Chlorophyll is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier as a pivot. U Turn with Sitrus Berry is the standard set.
In Black 2 & White 2, watch for Cloyster (Ice), Arcanine (Fire), and Nidoking (Poison) when using Jumpluff. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Cloyster is the most dangerous since Ice moves deal 4x damage. Flying and Rock-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
In Black 2 & White 2, Run Chlorophyll on Jumpluff. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Jumpluff also gets Leaf Guard and Infiltrator, but they don't compare.
In Black 2 & White 2, Jumpluff fills the pivot role. It's a mixed attacker with base 55 Attack and 55 Sp. Atk. Base 110 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
In Black 2 & White 2, run U Turn, Acrobatics, Bullet Seed, and Swords Dance on Jumpluff. U Turn is the most common pick at 0% usage. Acrobatics provides reliable STAB damage.
