Beartic's stats are solid on their own, but Slush Rush is what pushes it over the line. It doubles its Speed in snow. Only weak to Fire, Fighting, Rock, and Steel. Known as the Freezing Pokemon.
The stat bars tell the story: Attack carries everything and Speed's dead weight. But this Freezing Pokemon still yields 2 Attack EVs per fight on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
They love the cold seas of the north. They create pathways across the ocean waters by freezing their own breath.
Beartic Weakness
FragileType-wise, Beartic takes extra damage from Fire, Fighting, Rock, and Steel. Not too many gaps in the chart, 4 weaknesses to account for.
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)
Beartic is what Cubchoo becomes. Breed it for Cubchoo eggs (average hatch time). No compatible partners for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolution from Cubchoo pushed Beartic to 505 total stats. Attack saw the largest single gain at +60.
How to Evolve
Breed with Beartic to get Cubchoo eggs easily from the Ground egg group. Notable egg moves include Assurance, Avalanche, Encore and 5 more.
the remaining moves is what separates a good sweep from a wasted boost. After Bulk Up, Beartic threatens a wide range with max HP and Attack EVs and Expert Belt backing every hit.

Breeding's the move. Assurance and Avalanche give Beartic options it can't learn any other way, and coverage across 9 types already covers a decent range on top of Blizzard and Ice Beam. The egg moves push it further.

Beartic looks average on paper at 505 BST. But Slush Rush is why it sees play — build around that and it pulls its weight. B-Tier wallbreaker on our tier list.
Beartic's biggest threats include Volcarona (Fire), Machamp (Fighting), and Aerodactyl (Rock), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Steel-type attackers are also a problem.
Cubchoo evolves into Beartic at level 37. Beartic is the fully evolved form. At 505 BST, it's got solid stats to work with.
Beartic gets Slush Rush, Snow Cloak, and Swift Swim. But Slush Rush is the one that matters — it's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Beartic is a physical attacker with base 130 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the wallbreaker role.
Beartic appears in 8 games, including Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, and X & Y.
Since Black & White, Beartic has been obtainable in 8 games. A Generation 5 debut means a shorter history, but Beartic has appeared steadily across every generation since.
