Beartic's stats are solid on their own, but Slush Rush is what pushes it over the line. It doubles its Speed in snow. Only weak to Fire, Fighting, Rock, and Steel. Known as the Freezing Pokemon.

The stat bars tell the story: Attack carries everything and Speed's dead weight. But this Freezing Pokemon still yields 2 Attack EVs per fight on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.

or evolve from Cubchoo (Step 1)
  • Beartic looks average on paper at 505 BST. But Slush Rush is why it sees play — build around that and it pulls its weight. B-Tier wallbreaker on our tier list.

  • Beartic's biggest threats include Volcarona (Fire), Machamp (Fighting), and Aerodactyl (Rock), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Steel-type attackers are also a problem.

  • Cubchoo evolves into Beartic at level 37. Beartic is the fully evolved form. At 505 BST, it's got solid stats to work with.

  • Beartic gets Slush Rush, Snow Cloak, and Swift Swim. But Slush Rush is the one that matters — it's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.

  • Beartic is a physical attacker with base 130 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the wallbreaker role.

  • Beartic appears in 8 games, including Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, and X & Y.

Since Black & White, Beartic has been obtainable in 8 games. A Generation 5 debut means a shorter history, but Beartic has appeared steadily across every generation since.
