How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Slowbro to get Slowpoke eggs easily using 75 partners from the Monster and Water1 egg groups. Notable egg moves include Belch, Belly Drum, Block and 8 more.
ORAS Slowbro Best Moveset
Mega Slowbro reaches 130 Defense and 130 Sp. Atk with AbilityShell Armor blocking critical hits that would bypass the massive physical bulk. AbilityRegenerator on the base form heals a third every switch. The moveset earns S-tier because the Mega form creates one of the hardest physical targets to break in the format.

Slowbro’s tail has a Shellder firmly attached with a bite. As a result, the tail can’t be used for fishing anymore. This causes Slowbro to grudgingly swim and catch prey instead.
Slowbro Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Guide
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Slowbro looks average on paper at 490 BST. But Regenerator is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. B-Tier tank on our tier list. Scald with Leftovers is the standard set.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, yes. Mega Slowbro is the evolved form, sitting at 590 BST. Big power spike over base Slowbro (490). Equip the Mega Stone and it transforms in battle.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Slowbro's biggest threats include Jolteon (Electric), Exeggutor (Grass), and Scyther (Bug), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Ghost and Dark-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. At base 30 Speed, Slowbro won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Slowbro gets Regenerator, Oblivious, and Own Tempo. But Regenerator is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Slowbro is a special attacker with base 100 Sp. Atk. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 30 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the tank role.
