Weavile Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Guide
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Weavile works as a sweeper with 510 BST behind it. A-Tier on our list: a strong pick in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire's competitive scene. Knock Off with Choice Band is the standard set.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, watch for Hitmonlee (Fighting), Arcanine (Fire), and Heracross (Bug) when using Weavile. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Hitmonlee is the most dangerous since Fighting moves deal 4x damage. Rock, Steel, and Fairy-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Pressure increases the PP cost of moves targetting the Pokémon by one. That's the one you want on Weavile. Pickpocket is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Weavile is a physical attacker with base 120 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 125 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the sweeper role.
For Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Weavile has answers, but so do you. Priority moves (Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, Ice Shard) bypass its speed. Bulky walls that resist its STAB also shut it down.
Game Availability
Since Diamond & Pearl, Weavile has been in 13 games. Requiring an item-based evolution to obtain means it's consistently available but requires more effort than simply catching it in the wild.
