Stats & Training
Mawile's spread isn't flashy. Attack leads, HP trails, 2 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 2 Attack and Defense EVs, on a fast 800K XP curve.
Mawile’s huge jaws are actually steel horns that have been transformed. Its docile-looking face serves to lull its foe into letting down its guard. When the foe least expects it, Mawile chomps it with its gaping jaws.
Don’t be taken in by this Pokémon’s cute face—it’s very dangerous. Mawile fools the foe into letting down its guard, then chomps down with its massive jaws. The steel jaws are really horns that have been transformed.
Mawile Weakness
Mawile's Steel/Fairy typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire and Ground. It shrugs off Poison and Dragon-type attacks completely. 9 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that. Mawile's physical bulk (base 85 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Mawile Guide
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Don't let Mawile's 380 base stat total fool you. Intimidate is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier. Ironhead with Leftovers is the standard set.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, yes. Mega Mawile hits 480 BST, a solid jump from the base 380. Hold the Mega Stone, trigger it in battle, and it lasts the whole fight. One Mega per team.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Run Intimidate on Mawile. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Mawile also gets Hyper Cutter and Sheer Force, but they don't compare.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Mawile fills the balanced role. It's a physical attacker with base 85 Attack. Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
