Stats & Training
The stat bars tell the story: Speed carries everything and Sp. Atk's dead weight. But this Sharp Claw Pokemon still yields 2 Attack and Speed EVs per fight on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
This species corners prey as a pack, under the guidance of a leader. Weavile displays increased cunning, leading me to speculate that its evolution caused further brain development.
Weavile Weakness
Fighting, Fire, Bug, Rock, Steel, and Fairy moves hit Weavile for super-effective damage. Fighting hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. The upside? Psychic-type moves can't touch it at all.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Fighting |
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Bug, Rock, Steel, Fairy |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Ice, Ghost, Dark |
| 0x (Immune) | Psychic |
In Legends: Arceus, Garchomp's Earthquake hits Weavile for 83-98%.

How to Evolve
Legends: Arceus Weavile Best Moveset
Heavy-Duty Boots buys the setup turn. Weavile clicks Swords Dance, then starts cleaning with Knock Off and the remaining moves. Jolly nature with max Attack and Speed EVs makes sure nothing tanks a boosted hit comfortably.

The offense anchors on Blizzard and Ice Beam, with coverage across 8 types adding reach. It's a workable movepool for Weavile that handles most situations. Blizzard and Giga Impact give it enough punch where it matters.

Weavile Guide
In Legends: Arceus, Weavile works as a sweeper with 510 BST behind it. A-Tier on our list: a strong pick in Legends: Arceus's competitive scene. Knock Off with Heavy-Duty Boots is the standard set.
In Legends: Arceus, watch for Hitmonlee (Fighting), Arcanine (Fire), and Heracross (Bug) when using Weavile. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Hitmonlee is the most dangerous since Fighting moves deal 4x damage. Rock, Steel, and Fairy-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Pressure increases the PP cost of moves targetting the Pokémon by one. That's the one you want on Weavile. Pickpocket is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Weavile is leaning toward the physical side (base 120 Attack). Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 125 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the sweeper role.
For Legends: Arceus, Weavile has answers, but so do you. Priority moves (Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, Ice Shard) bypass its speed. Bulky walls that resist its STAB also shut it down.
Game Availability
Since Diamond & Pearl, Weavile has been in 13 games. Requiring an item-based evolution to obtain means it's consistently available but requires more effort than simply catching it in the wild.
