Is Gardevoir Good in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Playthrough?

Psychic/Fairy Gardevoir with a Mega Evolution is one of the defining Pokemon of ORAS. Handles Brawly, Drake's entire Dragon E4, and Sidney. Mega Gardevoir picks up AbilityPixilate, turning Normal moves into boosted Fairy attacks. One of the strongest team anchors you can build.

Gardevoir Weakness

Type-wise, Gardevoir takes extra damage from Poison, Ghost, and Steel. Dragon moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Gardevoir's special bulk (base 115 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

ORAS Gardevoir Best Moveset

Mega Gardevoir's AbilityPixilate converts Normal moves to Fairy at boosted power, and 165 Sp. Atk fires the converted TermStab at devastating levels. Psychic/Fairy typing gives Dragon immunity. The moveset earns A-tier because Pixilate turns MoveHyper Voice into one of the strongest Fairy attacks in the format.

Pokedex Entry

Gardevoir has the ability to read the future. If it senses impending danger to its Trainer, this Pokémon is said to unleash its psychokinetic energy at full power.

Gardevoir has the psychokinetic power to distort the dimensions and create a small black hole. This Pokémon will try to protect its Trainer even at the risk of its own life.

Gardevoir Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Guide

  • In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Gardevoir has a 518 base stat total and ranks as B-Tier: a solid option in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire for the right team. It works best as a wallbreaker. Moonblast with Choice Scarf is the standard set.

  • In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, yes. Mega Gardevoir hits 618 BST, a solid jump from the base 518. Hold the Mega Stone, trigger it in battle, and it lasts the whole fight. One Mega per team.

  • In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Gardevoir's biggest threats include Gengar (Poison), Misdreavus (Ghost), and Metagross (Steel), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.

  • Synchronize is the go-to ability for Gardevoir. It copies burns, paralysis, and poison received onto the Pokémon that inflicted them. Its hidden ability Telepathy can work in specific setups. Trace is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.

  • In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Gardevoir fills the wallbreaker role. It's a special attacker with base 125 Sp. Atk. Base 80 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.

Game Availability

Gardevoir first appeared in Ruby & Sapphire and spans 17 games across 8 generations. It later gained a Mega form in Generation 6, adding new dimensions to its competitive identity.
