Base Stats
Braixen's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Atk leads, Defense trails, 1 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 2 Sp. Atk EVs, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.

Braixen Guide
Braixen isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Delphox to unlock its full potential. At 409 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Braixen's biggest threats include Greninja (Water), Rhydon (Ground), and Aerodactyl (Rock), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.
Blaze is the go-to ability for Braixen. It strengthens fire moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. Its hidden ability Magician can work in specific setups.
Braixen fills the balanced role. It's a special attacker with base 90 Sp. Atk. Base 73 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many.
Braixen does the job early-game if you need a Fire type on your team. Evolve it into Delphox before the later gyms and it holds up fine through the story.
Game Availability
Introduced in X & Y, Braixen has appeared in 6 games across 5 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
