Latios Weakness
Ice, Bug, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, and Fairy moves hit Latios for super-effective damage. 6 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Latios's special bulk (base 110 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Latios Guide
For the Sun & Moon meta, At 600 BST, Latios is built different. We rank it B-Tier. As a Legendary Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a sweeper. Draco Meteor with Choice Scarf is the standard set.
In Sun & Moon, yes. Mega Latios hits 700 BST, a solid jump from the base 600. Hold the Mega Stone, trigger it in battle, and it lasts the whole fight. One Mega per team.
In Sun & Moon, watch for Lapras (Ice), Heracross (Bug), and Misdreavus (Ghost) when using Latios. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Dragon, Dark, and Fairy-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
In Sun & Moon, Run Levitate on Latios. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. With base 110 Speed, Levitate gives Latios an edge before opponents can react.
In Sun & Moon, Latios fills the sweeper role. It's a special attacker with base 130 Sp. Atk. Base 110 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
