Latias Weakness
Latias is weak to Ice, Bug, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, and Fairy. It resists 6 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Latias's special bulk (base 150 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Latias Sun & Moon Guide
In Sun & Moon, Latias is a Legendary Pokemon rated S-Tier. At 700 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a sweeper. Draco Meteor with Choice Scarf is the standard set.
In Sun & Moon, yes. Mega Latias is the evolved form, sitting at 800 BST. Big power spike over base Latias (700). Equip the Mega Stone and it transforms in battle.
In Sun & Moon, Latias's biggest threats include Walrein (Ice), Pinsir (Bug), and Gengar (Ghost), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Dragon, Dark, and Fairy-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. Latias has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Latias gets Levitate. But Levitate is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that. With base 110 Speed, Levitate gives Latias an edge before opponents can react.
Latias is a special attacker with base 140 Sp. Atk. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 110 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the sweeper role.
