Stats & Training
Golbat's stats barely vary. 2 sit in respectable range with no real gaps. It's a blank slate for EV investment. Worth 2 Speed EVs, medium-fast 1M XP curve to max.
Its thick fangs are hollow like straws, making them unexpectedly fragile. These fangs are specialized for sucking blood.
Sometimes they drink so much blood, they can’t fly anymore. Then they fall to the ground and become food for other Pokémon.
Golbat Weakness
Type-wise, Golbat takes extra damage from Electric, Ice, Psychic, and Rock. Ground moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. It resists 5 types, giving it decent defensive coverage.

| 2x (Weak) | Electric, Ice, Psychic, Rock |

Golbat Guide
In Sun & Moon, Golbat isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Crobat to unlock its full potential. At 455 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Inner Focus is the go-to ability for Golbat. It prevents flinching. Its hidden ability Infiltrator can work in specific setups.
In Sun & Moon, Golbat fills the support role. It's leaning toward the physical side (base 80 Attack). Base 90 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
Game Availability
Golbat has been part of the series since Red & Blue, appearing in 21 titles across all 10 generations. As a Gen 1 original, it's one of the most consistently available Pokemon in the franchise.
