High risk, high reward with Xurkitree. The offense is outstanding but the bulk won't survive much — 71 base Defense is the weak link. Only weak to Ground. Introduced in Gen 7. It needs some investment to avoid getting outsped.
Sp. Atk leads and Defense gets almost nothing. That's Xurkitree's stat line in a nutshell. 4 stats sit in respectable range, but the spread is brutal. Tough to catch and yields 3 Sp. Atk EVs.
One of the mysterious life-forms known as Ultra Beasts. Astonishing electric shocks emanate from its entire body, according to witnesses.
It appeared from the Ultra Wormhole. It raided a power plant, so people think it energizes itself with electricity.
Xurkitree Weakness
GoodXurkitree is weak to Ground-type moves. Few weaknesses and 3 resistances make the typing clean. With 83 HP and balanced defenses, Xurkitree can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.
Xurkitree is a Electric type packing 570 total stats. Can't breed it and it doesn't evolve, so what you catch is what you work with.
How to Evolve
For a special attacker, Xurkitree wants max Sp. Atk and Speed EVs and Life Orb. The Timid nature tilts toward fast special duty, and Beastboost contributes without taking a move slot.

Recommended Teammates
Leveling does the heavy lifting. Xurkitree picks up Thunderbolt and Power Whip along the way, building toward a complete offensive set. TMs add Normal and Bug coverage and more, but the foundation's already strong by then.

We rate Xurkitree B-Tier — a solid choice for the right team. At 570 BST, it fits the cannon role. Base 173 Sp. Atk stands out.
Xurkitree's biggest threats include Excadrill (Ground), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Xurkitree doesn't evolve and has no evolutionary line. It's a Electric-type Pokemon with strong stats at 570 BST — no evolution needed.
Beast Boost is the go-to ability for Xurkitree. It raises this Pokémon's highest stat by one stage when it faints another Pokémon. It's Xurkitree's only ability.
Base 83 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Xurkitree is a special attacker with base 173 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a cannon.
Xurkitree can be found in Sword & Shield, Sun & Moon, and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.
Xurkitree joined the series in Sun & Moon and has been available in 3 titles so far. With 3 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
