Mold Breaker ignores opposing abilities when attacking, adding real value on top of Haxorus's already solid stats. Dragon typing means only weak to Ice, Dragon, and Fairy. It sits at a decent but contested Speed tier. Known as the Axe Jaw Pokemon.
Haxorus's all-in on Attack at the expense of Sp. Atk. The physical lean is obvious from the bars. Yields 3 Attack EVs and follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.
This Pokémon nests in caves and abandoned mines. It is docile, but it will become incredibly angry if its tusks are touched, so beware.
It overwhelms enemies with its prized tusks, which are sharp enough to cut through a metal transmission tower in one strike.
Haxorus Weakness
AvgHaxorus is weak to Ice, Dragon, and Fairy-type moves. It resists 4 types, giving it decent defensive coverage. With 76 HP and balanced defenses, Haxorus can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.
Haxorus is the final form in a three-stage chain from Axew through Fraxure. Breeding this form produces Axew eggs (takes forever to hatch). Evolving from Axew gave Haxorus the biggest boost in Attack (+60), bringing the total to 540 stats.
How to Evolve
Breed with Haxorus to get Axew eggs easily from the Dragon and Monster egg groups. Notable egg moves include Counter, Dragon Pulse, Endeavor and 7 more.
Outrage is the main STAB option after a Dragon Dance boost. Groundiumz gives Haxorus extra utility to survive the setup turn, and max Attack and Speed EVs make the boosted hits count. Ground coverage catches resists.

Can't catch Haxorus directly. Start with Axew at moderate rates from the locations below, then evolve at level 48. The 3-stage chain from Axew to Haxorus is where the leveling time goes.
Don't let Haxorus's 540 base stat total fool you. Mold Breaker is what makes it tick — it punches way above its weight class. We rate it B-Tier as a wallbreaker.
Run Mold Breaker on Haxorus. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Haxorus also gets Rivalry and Unnerve, but they don't compare.
Haxorus fills the wallbreaker role. It's a physical attacker with base 147 Attack. Base 97 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
Haxorus appears in 8 games, including Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, and X & Y.
Introduced in Black & White, Haxorus has appeared in 8 games across 5 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
