Lapras Evolutions
No evolution chain to worry about here. Lapras is a standalone Pokemon with plenty of partners for breeding through two egg groups. Eggs come out takes forever to hatch. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed Lapras easily with 63 breeding partners from the Monster and Water1 egg groups. Pass egg moves like Ancient Power, Curse, Dragon Dance and 6 more to offspring.
BDSP Lapras Best Moveset
130 HP with 85/80/95 defenses gives the moveset real bulk across both sides. Water/Ice TermStab at 85 Sp. Atk provides some offensive presence. Dropped from C-tier to D because 60 Speed is slow and Ice typing adds Fighting, Rock, and Steel weaknesses to the Water base.

Lapras Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Guide
In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Lapras looks average on paper at 535 BST. But Water Absorb is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. C-Tier on our tier list. Freezedry with Leftovers is the standard set.
In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, watch for Raikou (Electric), Venusaur (Grass), and Hitmonlee (Fighting) when using Lapras. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Rock-type attackers are also a problem. Lapras has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Lapras gets Water Absorb, Shell Armor, and Hydration. But Water Absorb is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Lapras is a mixed attacker with base 85 Attack and 85 Sp. Atk. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often.
In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, run Freezedry, Avalanche, Thunderbolt, and Waterfall on Lapras. Freezedry is the most common pick at 0% usage. Avalanche provides reliable STAB damage.
