If Absol goes down before it attacks, it contributed nothing. If it doesn't, something on the other side is going down. It needs some investment to avoid getting outsped. Known as the Disaster Pokemon. Part of the Gen 3 roster.
Everything pushes toward physical damage here. Absol's Attack does the work, Defense pays the price. But you're still getting 2 Attack EVs per KO. Tough to catch, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
It senses coming disasters and appears before people only to warn them of impending danger.
Absol Weakness
AvgAbsol's Dark typing leaves it vulnerable to Fighting, Bug, and Fairy moves. It shrugs off Psychic-type attacks completely. Not too many gaps in the chart, 3 weaknesses to account for.
What you see is what you get. Absol sits outside any evolution chain, so focus on the egg moves and no compatible partners from one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time.
the remaining moves gives Absol answers even while choice-locked. Choice Band provides raw power at the cost of move flexibility, and max HP and Attack EVs with Superluck mean every prediction that lands hits hard.

Breadth over depth defines this movepool. Absol won't stack one type's damage ceiling, but coverage across 13 types means it always has an effective option. Dark Pulse and Night Slash anchor the STAB core.

Absol works as a cannon with 465 BST behind it. C-Tier on our list — a situational pick that fills a niche. That 130 base Attack does the heavy lifting.
Absol doesn't evolve and has no evolutionary line. It's a Dark-type Pokemon with a 465 base stat total.
Pressure increases the PP cost of moves targetting the Pokémon by one — that's the one you want on Absol. Justified is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Super Luck works too if your team needs something different.
Absol is a physical attacker with base 130 Attack. But the speed tells the real story — base 75 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. Fits the cannon role.
