To knock foes flying, it makes the air shudder with its cries. It converses using seven cries.
Chimecho emits ultrasonic cries. It floats on the wind to travel great distances.

In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Chimecho's biggest threats include Heracross (Bug), Misdreavus (Ghost), and Tyranitar (Dark), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.
Levitate is what you want on Chimecho. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind.
At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Chimecho is a special attacker with base 95 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two.
For Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, the core moveset is Healing Wish, Defog, Dazzling Gleam, and Futuresight. Healing Wish leads at 18% usage. This set covers the balanced role with a mix of damage and utility.
