Stats & Training
Sp. Atk and Sp. Def carry most of Chimecho's stat budget. Attack's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 2 Sp. Atk and Sp. Def EVs. Follows a fast 800K XP curve.
Can emit waves of air powerful enough to knock out prey taller than itself. I hypothesize that it amplifies the faint sound of wind within its body.
Chimecho Weakness
Type-wise, Chimecho takes extra damage from Bug, Ghost, and Dark. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. With 75 HP and balanced defenses, Chimecho can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.

Sun & Moon Evolution
Evolved from Chingling. Chimecho is the final form in this two-stage line. Plenty of partners for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. Sp.Def grew the most through evolution (+40 over Chingling), and Chimecho peaks at 455 total stats. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Chimecho to get Chingling eggs easily using 52 partners from the Indeterminate egg group. Notable egg moves include Cosmic Power, Curse, Disable and 6 more.
Sun & Moon Chimecho Best Moveset
The Sash lets Chimecho ignore defensive shortcomings for one turn. Use that turn to deal early damage, and Levitate squeezes extra value from the position. Max HP and Speed EVs push damage output.

Moves
Breeding's the move. Cosmic Power and Curse give Chimecho options it can't learn any other way, and Ghost and Normal coverage and more already covers a decent range on top of Synchronoise and Future Sight. The egg moves push it further.

How to Get Chimecho in Sun & Moon
Chimecho can't be caught in Sun & Moon. Transfer Chingling from Diamond, Platinum, or HeartGold and evolve through the 2-stage line to get it. The step cards below map the full chain.
Chimecho Guide
In Sun & Moon, Levitate changes the entire equation for Chimecho. The 455 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a support. Dazzling Gleam with Focus Sash is the standard set.
In Sun & Moon, Chimecho's biggest threats include Heracross (Bug), Misdreavus (Ghost), and Tyranitar (Dark), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.
Levitate is what you want on Chimecho. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind.
At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Chimecho is leaning toward the special side (base 95 Sp. Atk). Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a support.
In Sun & Moon, the best way to handle Chimecho: Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Bug, Ghost, and Dark-type attackers hit hardest.
Game Availability
