Chimecho Best Moveset
Psychic at 95 Sp. Atk and 65 Speed with AbilityLevitate granting Ground immunity. 80/90 mixed defenses give moderate bulk. The moveset runs special Psychic TermStab with support options. The offensive ceiling and Speed both trail competitive standards. Levitate and the defensive stats find niches in the lowest tiers.
Levitate removed Ground weakness in Gen III (Ruby & Sapphire). Pure Psychic with 95 Sp. Atk and 90 Sp. Def was serviceable. 65 Speed capped the ceiling.

Healing Wish sacrificed Chimecho to fully restore a teammate in Gen IV (Diamond & Pearl). The best support move it ever had. Worth a slot for one clutch heal.

Dropped in Gen V (Black & White). 455 BST couldn't compete as power levels rose. Healing Wish stayed useful, but better Pokemon learned the same move.

Dark and Ghost coverage spread everywhere in Gen VI (X & Y), hitting Psychic super-effectively. Chimecho's 80 Defense couldn't take either.

Pure Psychic with no secondary typing in Gen VII (Sun & Moon). Too easy to exploit. Chimecho healed teammates and contributed nothing else.
