Tropius Weakness
Ice, Fire, Poison, Flying, and Rock moves hit Tropius for super-effective damage. Ice hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. The upside? Ground-type moves can't touch it at all.

Tropius Guide
In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Don't let Tropius's 460 base stat total fool you. Chlorophyll is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier. Air Slash with Aguavberry is the standard set.
In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, watch for Lapras (Ice), Charizard (Fire), and Nidoking (Poison) when using Tropius. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Lapras is the most dangerous since Ice moves deal 4x damage. Flying and Rock-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Run Chlorophyll on Tropius. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Tropius also gets Solar Power and Harvest, but they don't compare.
In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Tropius fills the balanced role. It's leaning toward the special side (base 72 Sp. Atk). At base 51 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, run Air Slash, Giga Drain, Substitute, and Growth on Tropius. Air Slash is the most common pick at 23% usage. Growth lets it set up before sweeping.
