Terrakion Guide

  • At 580 BST, Terrakion is built different. We rank it B-Tier. As a Legendary Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a sweeper.

  • Watch for Milotic (Water), Venusaur (Grass), and Hitmonlee (Fighting) when using Terrakion. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Ground, Psychic, Steel, and Fairy-type attackers are also a problem. With 7 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.

  • Justified raises Attack one stage upon taking damage from a dark move. That's the one you want on Terrakion. It's the only ability Terrakion has.

  • Terrakion fills the sweeper role. It's a physical attacker with base 129 Attack. Base 108 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.

  • Run Close Combat, Stone Edge, Earthquake, and Swords Dance on Terrakion. Close Combat is the most common pick at 0% usage. This set covers the sweeper role with a mix of damage and utility.

Game Availability

Terrakion has appeared in 9 games since Black & White, spanning 6 generations. As a Legendary, it's typically a one-per-save encounter tied to the story or post-game content.
