Fire is a dangerous matchup for Abomasnow — quadruple damage means one hit can end things. Snow Warning helps compensate. Flexible enough to run physical or special sets. Introduced in Gen 4.
Attack and Sp. Atk carry most of Abomasnow's stat budget. Speed's the obvious dump stat. Moderately hard to find and yields 2 Attack and Sp. Atk EVs. Follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.
It lives a quiet life on mountains that are perpetually covered in snow. It hides itself by whipping up blizzards.
They appear when the snow flowers bloom. When the petals fall, they retreat to places unknown again.
Abomasnow Weakness
FragileAbomasnow is weak to Fire, Fighting, Poison, Flying, Bug, Rock, and Steel-type moves. Watch out for Fire attacks, those deal 4x damage. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses.
Evolved from Snover. Abomasnow is the final form in this two-stage line. Plenty of partners for breeding via two egg groups. Eggs are average hatch time. HP grew the most through evolution (+30 over Snover), and Abomasnow peaks at 494 total stats.
How to Evolve
For a defensive wall, Abomasnow wants max HP and Sp. Def EVs and Lightclay. The Calm nature tilts toward special wall duty, and Snow Warning contributes without taking a move slot.

STAB options run deep here. Abomasnow doesn't have to settle for one Grass and Ice attack when there's a whole lineup. Wood Hammer and Blizzard are the headliners, with coverage across 8 types backing them up.
Egg moves make a real difference. Abomasnow gets Double-Edge and Growth exclusively through breeding, filling gaps that TMs and level-up can't touch. Coverage across 8 types rounds out the picture alongside Wood Hammer and Solar Beam.
