ORAS Whimsicott Best Moveset
Grass/Fairy with AbilityPrankster giving priority to MoveEncore, MoveStun Spore, and MoveLeech Seed. Fairy typing added this generation gives Dragon immunity. 116 Speed fires without Prankster when needed. The moveset earns A-tier because priority disruption on a Fairy type shuts down Dragon and setup attempts before they start.

Whimsicott Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Guide
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Prankster changes the entire equation for Whimsicott. The 480 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a pivot. Encore with Leftovers is the standard set.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, watch for Roserade (Poison), Blaziken (Fire), and Weavile (Ice) when using Whimsicott. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Roserade is the most dangerous since Poison moves deal 4x damage. Flying and Steel-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Prankster is what you want on Whimsicott. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Infiltrator, Chlorophyll) work on paper but Prankster is what makes Whimsicott worth using.
Base 116 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Whimsicott is a mixed attacker with base 67 Attack and 77 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a pivot.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, run Encore, Leech Seed, Moonblast, and Stun Spore on Whimsicott. Encore is the most common pick at 0% usage. Moonblast provides reliable STAB damage.
