How to Get Servine in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire
You're catching Snivy first, not Servine. Snivy appears at moderate rates in the encounters below. The step cards map the full 3-stage chain with evolution methods between each stage.
Servine Weakness
Servine is weak to Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. That's a lot of weak spots to cover so team support is important.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Bug |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Water, Electric, Grass, Ground |

Servine Evolutions
Partway through Snivy's chain. Servine still has another evolution ahead before reaching Serperior. For breeding, average hatch time with a massive partner pool via two egg groups. Defense has grown the most so far (+20), but there's still another 115 stats to gain in the final evolution. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Servine to get Snivy eggs easily using 200 partners from the Ground and Plant egg groups. Notable egg moves include Captivate, Glare, Grassy Terrain and 8 more.
ORAS Servine Best Moveset
Grass at 60 offenses and 83 Speed. AbilityContrary reverses stat changes. The moveset fires at mid-stage power. Serperior one evolution away puts Contrary and 113 Speed to S-tier use with MoveLeaf Storm boosting Sp. Atk instead of dropping it.

It moves along the ground as if sliding. Its swift movements befuddle its foes, and it then attacks with a vine whip.
When it gets dirty, its leaves can’t be used in photosynthesis, so it always keeps itself clean.
Servine Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Guide
Servine is meant to evolve into Serperior. At 413 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
Contrary is what you want on Servine. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Overgrow) work on paper but Contrary is what makes Servine worth using.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Contrary is the hidden ability. It inverts stat changes. Worth hunting for if you want Servine to compete at a higher level.
Base 83 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Servine is a special attacker with base 60 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a support.
Game Availability
Servine joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 7 titles so far. With 6 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
