Platinum Route 216

Climbing toward Snowpoint, Route 216 turns bitterly cold, the snow deepening underfoot. Skiers cut past as you push on uphill.

Route 216 is in Sinnoh, with Mt. Coronet to the south. In the story it comes after Route 211 and continues north to Route 217.

Pokemon Encounters

Snow buries this route, and the grass turns to Ice-types. Snover and Sneasel pack the daytime spawns, Snorunt slips in after dark, and Ursaring at 8 percent is the bruiser to brave the cold for.

ITEMS

Ice Beam (TM13) is the pickup that matters, the most dependable cold attack in the game and a gift for half a roster. A Mental Herb nearby snaps a Pokemon out of an early flinch or taunt.
