ROCKET HIDEOUT MAP
A four-floor basement maze reached through the Celadon Game Corner. Spinning arrow tiles fling you across each floor, and the elevator at the back only runs once you track down the Lift Key.
Pokemon Encounters
ITEMS
Dig through the hideout for a Moon Stone and a Rare Candy, plus three TMs: Taunt (TM12), Frustration (TM21), and Snatch (TM49). An Itemfinder sweep adds a Nugget, a PP Up, and two specialty Poke Balls.

A nutritious drink for Pokemon. It raises the base SP. ATK stat of one Pokemon.
PP Up
Slightly raises the maximum PP of a selected move for one Pokemon.
Rare Candy
A candy that is packed with energy. It raises the level of a Pokemon by one.
Black Glasses
An item to be held by a Pokemon. A shady-looking pair of glasses that boosts DARK-type moves.
Escape Rope
A long, durable rope. Use it to escape instantly from a cave or a dungeon.
Hyper Potion
A spray-type wound medicine. It restores the HP of one Pokemon by 200 points.
Max Ether
Fully restores a selected move's PP for one Pokemon.
Moon Stone
Evolves a Nidorina into Nidoqueen, a Nidorino into Nidoking, a Clefairy into Clefable, or a Jigglypuff into Wigglytuff.
Super Potion
A spray-type wound medicine. It restores the HP of one Pokemon by 50 points.
X Speed
Raises the SPEED stat of Pokemon in battle. Wears off if the Pokemon is withdrawn.
Nest Ball
A somewhat different BALL that works especially well on weaker Pokemon.
Net Ball
A somewhat different BALL that works especially well on WATER- and BUG-type Pokemon.
Nugget
A nugget of pure gold that gives off a lustrous gleam. It can be sold at a high price.
TRAINERS
Giovanni himself waits at the bottom of this hideout, guarded by a dozen Rocket Grunts on Poison and Normal-types. A Psychic move clears the rank and file; save something for his level-29 Ground squad.
