Gliscor Best Moveset
AbilityPoison Heal recovers 12.5% HP every turn when poisoned, and Held ItemToxic Orb triggers it permanently. Ground/Flying TermStab at 95 Attack and 125 Defense behind constant passive healing creates one of the most durable physical walls in the format. NatureCareful at 95 Speed outspeeds defensive threats. The moveset is nearly unkillable through sustained recovery. S-Tier as the premier physical wall.
Ground/Flying with Hyper Cutter in Gen IV (Diamond & Pearl). Swords Dance, Earthquake, and enough bulk to set up on physical attackers. A solid top-tier debut.

Gliscor Weakness
Gliscor is weak to Ice and Water. Watch out for Ice attacks, those deal 4x damage. On the flip side, it's immune to Electric and Ground-type moves entirely. Gliscor's physical bulk (base 125 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Ice |
| 2x (Weak) | Water |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Fighting, Poison, Bug |
| 0x (Immune) | Electric, Ground |

Base Stats
Defense leads and Sp. Atk gets almost nothing. That's Gliscor's stat line in a nutshell. 3 stats sit in respectable range, but the spread is brutal. Tough to catch and yields 2 Defense EVs.
It glides soundlessly on pitch-black wings and sinks sharp fangs into the throat of its prey. It takes on a look of satisfaction once it has entirely drained its prey of blood.
Gliscor Guide
Poison Heal changes the entire equation for Gliscor. The 510 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked B-Tier as a hazard setter.
Poison Heal is what you want on Gliscor. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Hyper Cutter, Sand Veil) work on paper but Poison Heal is what makes Gliscor worth using.
Base 95 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Gliscor is a physical attacker with base 95 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a hazard setter.
The core moveset is Protect, Earthquake, Knock Off, and Toxic. Protect leads at 0% usage. Earthquake provides reliable STAB damage.
Game Availability
Obtainable through an item-based evolution, Gliscor appears in 12 titles across 7 generations since Diamond & Pearl. The evolution method adds a barrier that wild-catchable Pokemon don't have.
