Gliscor Weakness

Gliscor is weak to Ice and Water. Watch out for Ice attacks, those deal 4x damage. On the flip side, it's immune to Electric and Ground-type moves entirely. Gliscor's physical bulk (base 125 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Gliscor Guide

  • Poison Heal changes the entire equation for Gliscor. The 510 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked B-Tier as a hazard setter.

  • Gliscor's biggest threats include Lapras (Ice) and Gyarados (Water), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Lapras is the most dangerous since Ice moves deal 4x damage. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

  • Poison Heal is what you want on Gliscor. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Hyper Cutter, Sand Veil) work on paper but Poison Heal is what makes Gliscor worth using.

  • Base 95 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Gliscor is a physical attacker with base 95 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a hazard setter.

  • The core moveset is Protect, Earthquake, Knock Off, and Toxic. Protect leads at 0% usage. Earthquake provides reliable STAB damage.

Game Availability

Obtainable through an item-based evolution, Gliscor appears in 12 titles across 7 generations since Diamond & Pearl. The evolution method adds a barrier that wild-catchable Pokemon don't have.
