Stats & Training
The stat line revolves around HP. Percentage recovery gets extra mileage here. Sp. Atk backs it up, though Defense doesn't pull its weight. Worth 2 HP EVs on a medium-fast 1M XP curve to max out.
It lives close to water. Its long tail is ridged with a fin, which is often mistaken for a mermaid’s.
Its cell composition is similar to water molecules. As a result, it can’t be seen when it melts away into water.
Vaporeon Weakness
Type-wise, Vaporeon takes extra damage from Electric and Grass. The Water typing picks up 4 resistances to work with. Water Absorb grants an additional Water immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Vaporeon's special bulk (base 95 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Moves
Most of Vaporeon's flexibility comes from TMs. Same-type output runs through Hydro Pump and Surf, but Dark and Normal and the rest of the TM pool push it from predictable to genuinely threatening.
