Quagsire Weakness
Quagsire's Water/Ground typing leaves it vulnerable to Grass. Grass hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Electric-type attacks completely. It resists 4 types, giving it decent defensive coverage. Water Absorb grants an additional Water immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. With 95 HP and balanced defenses, Quagsire can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.

Quagsire Black 2 & White 2 Guide
In Black 2 & White 2, watch for Exeggutor (Grass) when using Quagsire. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Exeggutor is the most dangerous since Grass moves deal 4x damage. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. At base 35 Speed, Quagsire won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
For Black 2 & White 2, it depends on your team. Quagsire at 430 BST isn't a powerhouse, but the Water/Ground coverage might be exactly what you're missing.
In Black 2 & White 2, Don't let Quagsire's 430 base stat total fool you. Unaware is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier as a trick room. Recover with Leftovers is the standard set.
In Black 2 & White 2, Run Unaware on Quagsire. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Quagsire also gets Damp and Water Absorb, but they don't compare.
In Black 2 & White 2, Quagsire's hidden ability is Unaware. Ignores other Pokémon's stat modifiers for damage and accuracy calculation. Better than the standard options for competitive play.
Game Availability
Quagsire first appeared in Gold & Silver and has been available in 17 games across 9 generations. Obtainable through wild encounters in most titles where it appears.
