Machamp is a Fighting-type from Gen 1. Only weak to Flying and Psychic. 130 base Attack is its best stat. Known as the Superpower Pokemon. It relies on priority moves or Scarf to keep up.
Nothing fancy in Machamp's spread. It leans physical with Attack out front. And you'll get 3 Attack EVs per KO for it. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
Using its heavy muscles, it throws powerful punches that can send the victim clear over the horizon.
Machamp Weakness
AvgMachamp is weak to Flying and Psychic-type moves. Not many exploitable gaps in the Fighting typing defensive chart. With 90 HP and balanced defenses, Machamp can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.
- Only 15 types exist — Dark, Steel, and Fairy are absent
- Ghost has no effect on Psychic (a known bug, fixed in Gen II)
- Special stat governs both offense and defense — no Sp.Atk / Sp.Def split
Machamp evolved from Machop by trading, landing at 505 stats as a Fighting type. Breeding isn't in the picture. The evolution from Machop pushed Machamp to 505 total stats. Attack saw the largest single gain at +50.
How to Evolve
For an attacker, Machamp wants flexible EVs EVs and an item. The a nature nature tilts toward balanced duty, and an ability contributes without taking a move slot.

Recommended Teammates
Most of Machamp's flexibility comes from TMs. Same-type output runs through Submission and Karate Chop, but Normal and Ground and the rest of the TM pool push it from predictable to genuinely threatening.

The chain to Machamp requires a trade evolution through a trade. Catch Machop at solid rates and level through the stages, but line up the trade first. The rest of the chain runs on levels alone.

Step 3Machamp ✓
Machamp works as a wallbreaker with 505 BST behind it. C-Tier on our list — a situational pick that fills a niche. That 130 base Attack does the heavy lifting.
Machamp is a physical attacker with base 130 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. But the speed tells the real story — at base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. Fits the wallbreaker role.
