Stats & Training
Nothing fancy in Machamp's spread. It leans physical with Attack out front. And you'll get 3 Attack EVs per KO for it. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
Its four muscled arms slam foes with powerful punches and chops at blinding speed.

Machamp Guide
In Platinum, Machamp works as a wallbreaker with 505 BST behind it. C-Tier on our list: a niche pick in Platinum's meta. That 130 base Attack does the heavy lifting.
Guts is the go-to ability for Machamp. It increases Attack to 1.5× with a major status ailment. Its hidden ability Steadfast can work in specific setups. No Guard is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.
Machamp is a physical attacker with base 130 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. Fits the wallbreaker role.
In Platinum, the best way to handle Machamp: Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Special attackers bypass its physical bulk.
