Xerneas Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Guide
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Xerneas is a Legendary Pokemon rated S-Tier. At 680 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a pivot. Moonblast with Power Herb is the standard set.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Xerneas's biggest threats include Gengar (Poison) and Lucario (Steel), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. Xerneas has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Fairy Aura is the go-to ability for Xerneas. It strengthens fairy moves to 1.33× their power for all friendly and opposing Pokémon. It's Xerneas's only ability.
Xerneas is a special attacker with base 131 Sp. Atk. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 99 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. Fits the pivot role.
In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, the best way to handle Xerneas: Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Poison and Steel-type attackers hit hardest.
Game Availability
