Volcarona Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Guide
For Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, we rate Volcarona A-Tier: a strong pick in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon's competitive scene. At 550 BST, it fits the sweeper role. Quiver Dance with Leftovers is the standard set.
Flame Body has a 30% chance of burning attacking Pokémon on contact. That's the one you want on Volcarona. Swarm is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Base 100 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Volcarona is a special attacker with base 135 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a sweeper.
For Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Volcarona has answers, but so do you. Priority moves (Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, Ice Shard) bypass its speed. Bulky walls that resist its STAB also shut it down.
