Zygarde brings raw power that's hard to match. Dragon/Ground typing and sits at a decent but contested Speed tier — it checks a lot of boxes at once. Electric moves can't touch it, and only 3 types hit it super-effectively. Known as the Order Pokemon.

Bulk defines Zygarde's stat line. Defense and HP anchor the defensive side, but Sp. Atk can't keep up offensively. Near-impossible to catch and worth 3 HP EVs.

This is Zygarde’s form when about half of its pieces have been assembled. It plays the role of monitoring the ecosystem.

Some say it can change to an even more powerful form when battling those who threaten the ecosystem.

Zygarde Weakness

Avg

Type-wise, Zygarde takes extra damage from Ice, Dragon, and Fairy. Watch out for Ice attacks, those deal 4x damage. Electric moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Zygarde's physical bulk (base 121 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Leveling does the heavy lifting. Zygarde picks up Land's Wrath and Earthquake along the way, building toward a complete offensive set. TMs add coverage across 9 types, but the foundation's already strong by then.

  • Zygarde is a Legendary Pokemon rated A-Tier on our tier list. At 600 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a wall. Base 121 Defense stands out.

  • Zygarde's biggest threats include Weavile (Ice), Garchomp (Dragon), and Sylveon (Fairy), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Weavile is the most dangerous since Ice moves deal 4x damage. Zygarde has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.

  • Zygarde doesn't evolve. As a Legendary Pokemon, it stands on its own without an evolutionary line. It's a Dragon/Ground type with 600 BST.

  • Aura Break is the go-to ability for Zygarde. It makes dark aura and fairy aura weaken moves of their respective types. It's Zygarde's only ability.

  • Base 95 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Zygarde is leaning toward the physical side (base 100 Attack). Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a wall.

  • Zygarde appears in 6 games, including X & Y, Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.

First obtainable in X & Y, Zygarde has been featured in 6 titles across 4 generations. Legendary status means a single encounter per playthrough in most games.
