Stats & Training
Bulk defines Zygarde's stat line. Defense and HP anchor the defensive side, but Sp. Atk can't keep up offensively. Near-impossible to catch and worth 3 HP EVs.
When the Kalos region’s ecosystem falls into disarray, it appears and reveals its secret power.
It’s hypothesized that it’s monitoring those who destroy the ecosystem from deep in the cave where it lives.
Zygarde Weakness
Type-wise, Zygarde takes extra damage from Ice, Dragon, and Fairy. Watch out for Ice attacks, those deal 4x damage. Electric moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Zygarde's physical bulk (base 121 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

| 2x (Weak) | Dragon, Fairy |

Moves
Leveling does the heavy lifting. Zygarde picks up Land's Wrath and Earthquake along the way, building toward a complete offensive set. TMs add Dark and Normal coverage and more, but the foundation's already strong by then.

How to Get Zygarde in X & Y
You'll find Zygarde at Terminus Cave as a set encounter. It's always there at that location, so come prepared for the battle. The location details below cover exact positioning.
Best Locations to Catch Zygarde in X & Y
Zygarde Guide
In X & Y, Zygarde is a Legendary Pokemon rated B-Tier. At 600 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a pivot. Earthquake with Leftovers is the standard set.
In X & Y, Zygarde can Mega Evolve into Mega Zygarde. That's 700 BST, up from 600. The stat redistribution often changes its best role. Mega Stone required, one per battle.
In X & Y, Zygarde's biggest threats include Weavile (Ice), Garchomp (Dragon), and Sylveon (Fairy), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Weavile is the most dangerous since Ice moves deal 4x damage. Zygarde has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Aura Break is the go-to ability for Zygarde. It makes dark aura and fairy aura weaken moves of their respective types. It's Zygarde's only ability.
Base 95 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Zygarde is a physical attacker with base 100 Attack. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a pivot.
Game Availability
First obtainable in X & Y, Zygarde has been featured in 6 titles across 5 generations. Legendary status means a single encounter per playthrough in most games.
