Psychic moves don't affect Incineroar at all — that's the advantage of Fire/Dark typing. Intimidate lowers the opponent's Attack on switch-in. Relies on priority moves or Scarf to keep up. Known as the Heel Pokemon.
Attack and HP carry most of Incineroar's stat budget. Speed's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 3 Attack EVs. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
Although it’s rough mannered and egotistical, it finds beating down unworthy opponents boring. It gets motivated for stronger opponents.
When its fighting spirit is set alight, the flames around its waist become especially intense.
Incineroar Weakness
GoodIncineroar's Fire/Dark typing leaves it vulnerable to Water, Fighting, Ground, and Rock moves. It shrugs off Psychic-type attacks completely. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong.
End of the line. Incineroar caps a three-stage chain that started at Litten. Breeding produces the base form, and eggs are quick to hatch. HP grew the most through evolution (+50 over Litten), and Incineroar peaks at 530 total stats.
How to Evolve
Breed with Incineroar to get Litten eggs from the Ground egg group. Notable egg moves include Body Slam, Crunch, Fake Out and 4 more.
U-turn keeps your team's momentum going. Incineroar doesn't need to stay in long, Assault Vest provides a special bulk boost with no status moves allowed and max HP and Attack EVs make every visit count. Fakeout threatens on the way out. Intimidate adds passive value.

The natural movepool does the job, but Body Slam and Crunch from the egg pool give Incineroar something extra. Pair those with Blast Burn and Overheat for STAB and coverage across 9 types for reach, and the kit fills out nicely.

Can't catch Incineroar directly. Start with Litten at moderate rates from the locations below, then evolve at level 34. The 3-stage chain from Litten to Incineroar is where the leveling time goes.
Intimidate changes the entire equation for Incineroar. The 530 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked S-Tier as a wallbreaker.
Intimidate is what you want on Incineroar. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Blaze) work on paper but Intimidate is what makes Incineroar worth using.
At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Incineroar is a physical attacker with base 115 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
Incineroar can be found in Scarlet & Violet, Sword & Shield, Sun & Moon, and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.
Incineroar joined the series in Sun & Moon and has been available in 4 titles so far. With 3 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
