Mid-stage Pokemon like Litten rarely see competitive play outside of special formats. It's a waypoint on the road to Incineroar, which is where the real potential kicks in. Can go either physical or special depending on the set. Part of the Gen 7 roster.
Nothing fancy in Litten's spread. It leans mixed with Speed out front. And you'll get 1 Speed EV per KO for it. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
If you try too hard to get close to it, it won’t open up to you. Even if you do grow close, giving it too much affection is still a no-no.
Its coat regrows twice a year. When the time comes, Litten sets its own body on fire and burns away the old fur.
Litten Weakness
AvgWater, Ground, and Rock-type moves hit Litten for super-effective damage. It resists 6 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely.
Litten kicks off a three-stage evolution line through Torracat all the way to Incineroar. For breeding, quick to hatch with no compatible partners via one egg group. The evolved forms gain up to 210 total stats over Litten.
How to Evolve
Breed Litten from the Ground egg group. Pass egg moves like Body Slam, Crunch, Fake Out and 4 more to offspring.

Without breeding, Litten misses out on Body Slam and Crunch. That's 7 egg moves adding depth that the base kit lacks. STAB comes from Overheat and Flare Blitz, with coverage across 7 types rounding things out.

Best Locations
At 320 BST, Litten is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Torracat before bringing it to any serious fight.
Watch for Gyarados (Water), Golem (Ground), and Aerodactyl (Rock) when using Litten. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB.
Litten evolves into Torracat at level 17. Litten is the base form in a 3-stage evolutionary line.
Litten gets Intimidate and Blaze. But Intimidate is the one that matters — it's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Litten is leaning toward the physical side (base 65 Attack). Fragile — can't afford to take many hits, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 70 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many.
Litten can be found in Scarlet & Violet, Sword & Shield, Sun & Moon, and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.
Since Sun & Moon, Litten has been obtainable in 4 games. A Generation 7 debut means a shorter history, but Litten has appeared steadily across every generation since.
