Aggron Weakness
Type-wise, Aggron takes extra damage from Fire, Fighting, and Ground. Poison moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. 10 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that. Filter reduces SE moves damage, further improving the defensive spread. Aggron's physical bulk (base 230 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

XY Aggron Best Moveset
The Mega form gains pure Steel typing and AbilityFilter reducing super-effective damage by 25%%, losing the Rock type's weaknesses entirely. 180 Defense on the base form absorbs physical hits. Steel lost Dark/Ghost resistance, but the Mega's pure Steel typing adapted by consolidating the defensive profile. MoveStealth Rock adds utility.

Aggron X & Y Guide
In X & Y, Aggron has a 630 base stat total and ranks as B-Tier: a solid option in X & Y for the right team. It works best as a wallbreaker. Metalburst with Focus Sash is the standard set.
In X & Y, yes. Mega Aggron hits 730 BST, a solid jump from the base 630. Hold the Mega Stone, trigger it in battle, and it lasts the whole fight. One Mega per team.
Filter is the go-to ability for Aggron. It decreases damage taken from super-effective moves by 1/4. It's Aggron's only ability.
In X & Y, Aggron fills the wallbreaker role. It's a physical attacker with base 140 Attack. Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. And it's tanky enough to absorb a few hits.
