Stats & Training
Everything pushes toward mixed damage here. Emolga's Speed does the work, HP pays the price. But you're still getting 2 Speed EVs per KO. Easy to catch, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
They live on treetops and glide using the inside of a cape-like membrane while discharging electricity.
The energy made in its cheeks’ electric pouches is stored inside its membrane and released while it is gliding.
Emolga Weakness
Emolga's Electric/Flying typing leaves it vulnerable to Ice and Rock. It shrugs off Ground-type attacks completely. The Electric/Flying typing picks up 5 resistances to work with. Motor Drive grants an additional Electric immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. At base 103 Speed, Emolga outspeeds most threats and doesn't need to tank what it can outrun.

X & Y Emolga Locations
Emolga sits at moderate rates across 4 spots in mid-game routes. Pick one from the sorted list and commit to it. Jumping between areas wastes more time than waiting in the right location.
Best Locations to Catch Emolga in X & Y
walking encounters for Emolga across 4 spots at Lv. 19-20. The catch is that X and Y don't share every location, so compare what's available in your version.
Emolga Guide
For X & Y, it depends on your team. Emolga at 428 BST isn't a powerhouse, but the Electric/Flying coverage might be exactly what you're missing.
In X & Y, Emolga works as a pivot with 428 BST behind it. C-Tier on our list: a niche pick in X & Y's meta. Knock Off with Leftovers is the standard set.
Static has a 30% chance of paralyzing attacking Pokémon on contact. That's the one you want on Emolga. Motor Drive is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Emolga is immune to Ground moves. Free switch-in every time. Speed is the best stat at base 103. Dual typing means STAB coverage on both Electric and Flying moves.
Game Availability
Since Black & White, Emolga has been obtainable in 8 games. A Generation 5 debut means a shorter history, but Emolga has appeared steadily across every generation since.
