How to Get Servine in Black 2 & White 2
You're catching Snivy first, not Servine. Snivy appears but it's a rare spawn in the encounters below. The step cards map the full 3-stage chain with evolution methods between each stage.
Servine Weakness
Servine is weak to Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. That's a lot of weak spots to cover so team support is important.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Bug |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Water, Electric, Grass, Ground |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)

Servine Evolutions
Partway through Snivy's chain. Servine still has another evolution ahead before reaching Serperior. For breeding, average hatch time with a massive partner pool via two egg groups. Defense has grown the most so far (+20), but there's still another 115 stats to gain in the final evolution. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve

Each move's competitive rank in RankedBoost's system. TM, Egg, and Tutor sort by tier by default (best first). On Level-Up, click the Tier header to do the same.

Servine Black 2 & White 2 Guide
Servine is meant to evolve into Serperior. At 413 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
Contrary is what you want on Servine. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Overgrow) work on paper but Contrary is what makes Servine worth using.
In Black 2 & White 2, Contrary is the hidden ability. It inverts stat changes. Worth hunting for if you want Servine to compete at a higher level.
Base 83 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Servine is a physical attacker with base 60 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a support.
Game Availability
Servine joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 7 titles so far. With 6 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
