Platinum Distortion World
Platinum's signature dimension is a broken place where gravity bends and waterfalls pour sideways. Cyrus flees in here after Spear Pillar, and Giratina takes its Origin Forme to stop him.
Distortion World is in Sinnoh. In the story you arrive from Spear Pillar to the north and it comes before Spring Path.

Nothing here obeys normal gravity. Platforms float at every angle and you walk along walls and ceilings, even up a waterfall without the HM, working steadily down toward the bottom. A lone Strength puzzle is the only standard move the place asks for.

Distortion World Guide
The Distortion World is exclusive to Platinum and does not exist in Diamond or Pearl. It is a gravity-bending space where you walk and Surf along walls in any direction and climb waterfalls with no HM Waterfall or Beacon Badge needed. You reach it right after the Spear Pillar climax, following Cynthia when Giratina swoops on Cyrus.
During the main story you battle and can catch Giratina here in its Origin Forme, a Ghost and Dragon type with Levitate, at Level 47. The two ways in are the top of Mt. Coronet at Spear Pillar and Turnback Cave. Stock up on status moves and spare balls before you follow Cynthia inside.
