Latias Weakness
Latias is weak to Ice, Bug, Ghost, Dragon, and Dark. It resists 6 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Latias's special bulk (base 130 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Ice, Bug, Ghost, Dragon, Dark |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Fire, Water, Electric, Grass, Fighting, Psychic |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)

Latias Black 2 & White 2 Guide
In Black 2 & White 2, Latias is a Legendary Pokemon rated B-Tier. At 600 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a support. Draco Meteor with Leftovers is the standard set.
Mega Evolution isn't available in Black 2 & White 2, but Latias does have a Mega form in Gen 6-7 games (X/Y, ORAS, Sun/Moon). Mega Latias hits 700 BST.
In Black 2 & White 2, Latias's biggest threats include Walrein (Ice), Pinsir (Bug), and Gengar (Ghost), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Dragon and Dark-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. Latias has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Latias is a static encounter at Unova Dreamyard in Black 2 & White 2. Latias appears at level 68. Save before the encounter. These one-shot Pokemon don't respawn if you knock them out or run out of Poke Balls.
Latias gets Levitate. But Levitate is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
