Mid-stage Pokemon like Gible rarely see competitive play outside of special formats. It's a waypoint on the road to Garchomp, which is where the real potential kicks in. Electric moves can't touch it, and only 3 types hit it super-effectively. Known as the Land Shark Pokemon.
Nothing fancy in Gible's spread. It leans physical with Attack out front. And you'll get 1 Attack EV per KO for it. Follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.
It nests in small, horizontal holes in cave walls. It pounces to catch prey that stray too close.
It once lived in the tropics. To avoid the cold, it lives in caves warmed by geothermal heat.
Gible Weakness
AvgGible's Dragon/Ground typing leaves it vulnerable to Ice, Dragon, and Fairy moves. Ice hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Electric-type attacks completely.
Gible kicks off a three-stage evolution line through Gabite all the way to Garchomp. For breeding, takes forever to hatch with no compatible partners via two egg groups. The evolved forms gain up to 300 total stats over Gible.
How to Evolve
Breed Gible easily from the Dragon and Monster egg groups. Pass egg moves like Body Slam, Double-Edge, Dragon Breath and 8 more to offspring.

You'll want to breed for Body Slam and Double-Edge on Gible. These egg moves aren't just nice to have. Combined with STAB from Draco Meteor and Outrage, they expand what Gible can actually threaten in practice.
