Mid-stage Pokemon like Gible rarely see competitive play outside of special formats. It's a waypoint on the road to Garchomp, which is where the real potential kicks in. Electric moves can't touch it, and only 3 types hit it super-effectively. Known as the Land Shark Pokemon.
Nothing fancy in Gible's spread. It leans physical with Attack out front. And you'll get 1 Attack EV per KO for it. Follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.
It skulks in caves, and when prey or an enemy passes by, it leaps out and chomps them. The force of its attack sometimes chips its teeth.
It nests in horizontal holes warmed by geothermal heat. Foes who get too close can expect to be pounced on and bitten.
Gible Weakness
AvgGible's Dragon/Ground typing leaves it vulnerable to Ice, Dragon, and Fairy moves. Ice hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Electric-type attacks completely.
Gible kicks off a three-stage evolution line through Gabite all the way to Garchomp. For breeding, takes forever to hatch with plenty of partners via two egg groups. The evolved forms gain up to 300 total stats over Gible.
How to Evolve
Breed Gible easily with 65 breeding partners from the Dragon and Monster egg groups. Pass egg moves like Double-Edge, Metal Claw, Thrash and 1 more to offspring.
The game plan is straightforward: click Swords Dance, then sweep. Eviolite and Rough Skin support the setup turn. EVs go into a spread EV build so Gible hits hard once it's boosted.

You'll want to breed for Double-Edge and Metal Claw on Gible. These egg moves aren't just nice to have. Combined with STAB from Draco Meteor and Outrage, they expand what Gible can actually threaten in practice.
