Gallade Guide

  • We rate Gallade B-Tier: a solid choice for the right team. At 618 BST, it fits the setup sweeper role. Base 165 Attack stands out.

  • Gallade can Mega Evolve into Mega Gallade. That's 718 BST, up from 618. The stat redistribution often changes its best role. Mega Stone required, one per battle.

  • Watch for Staraptor (Flying), Dusknoir (Ghost), and Clefable (Fairy) when using Gallade. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB.

  • Inner Focus prevents flinching. That's the one you want on Gallade. It's the only ability Gallade has.

  • Base 110 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Gallade is a physical attacker with base 165 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a setup sweeper.

Game Availability

Since debuting in Diamond & Pearl, Gallade has appeared in 14 titles over 7 generations. Along the way, it received a Mega form in Generation 6, keeping it relevant across different competitive metas.
