Stats & Training
Clefable's spread isn't flashy. HP leads, Speed trails, 3 stats clear the bar. Very hard to catch and worth 3 HP EVs, on a fast 800K XP curve.
It is very wary and rarely shows itself to people. Its ears can hear a pin drop over half a mile away.

Clefable Weakness
Clefable is weak to Fighting. On the flip side, it's immune to Ghost-type moves entirely. With 95 HP and balanced defenses, Clefable can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Fighting |
| 0x (Immune) | Ghost |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)

Clefable Guide
In Black & White, Don't let Clefable's 483 base stat total fool you. Magic Guard is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier. Soft Boiled with Leftovers is the standard set.
In Black & White, Clefable's biggest threats include Machamp (Fighting), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
In Black & White, Run Magic Guard on Clefable. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Clefable also gets Cute Charm and Unaware, but they don't compare.
In Black & White, Clefable fills the balanced role. It's a special attacker with base 95 Sp. Atk. At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
For Black & White, the core moveset is Soft Boiled, Thunder Wave, Knock Off, and Seismic Toss. Soft Boiled leads at 24% usage. This set covers the balanced role with a mix of damage and utility.
